IBEW Local 903 provides a highly-skilled Electrical Workforce to all of South Mississippi. This means you receive the highest quality craftsmanship with on-time and on-budget projects. Local 903’s Apprenticeship Training Program also ensures that the next generation of Electrical Workers will be as highly skilled and qualified as the last generation.

There are ten specialty areas where you will find the members of IBEW Local 903, each best described by the type of work done:

Inside, Wiremen are electrical workers who install the power, lighting, controls, security control systems, and other electrical equipment in commercial and industrial buildings.

Outside Linemen are the electrical workers who install the distribution and transmission lines, which move power from a power plant to a factory, a business, or your home.

Construction Wiremen are electrical workers who specialize in installing all of the electrical systems in single-family, multi-family houses or dwellings, and small commercial buildings.

Telecommunications Technicians are workers who install equipment for telephones, computer networks, video distribution systems, and other low voltage systems.

Sign Wiremen and Fabricators are electrical workers who fabricate and install electric signs such as neon, matrix, and all other types of electrical-based signage.

Lightning Rod Installers are workers who are specially trained in the protection of property and equipment from lightning strikes.

Line Clearance is workers who perform the task of keeping the energized utility lines cleared from coming in contact with branches causing electrical outages.

Maintenance Workers maintain the various electrical systems in commercial facilities.

Crane Operators work with utility companies in the installation and maintenance of transmission lines and switchyards.

Administrative Technicians work in both public and private offices, covering a broad range of job classifications within the companies they serve.
