Since 1944 the NECA-IBEW Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee has been training individuals to meet the demands of the electrical industry. We were the first electrical apprenticeship program registered with the Department of Labor in the State of Indiana.

We have been committed to the mission of our founders, which is to educate the members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the National Electrical Contractors Association, thereby providing the electrical construction industry with the most highly trained and highly skilled workforce possible.

We are co-sponsored by the National Electrical Contractors Association, Southern Indiana Chapter, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 16. Thank you for visiting the Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (THEJATC) located in Terre Haute, Indiana. The jurisdiction covers fifteen counties throughout east central Illinois and west-central Indiana. We bring our communities the best-trained men and women in the electrical trade.

Our program provides a top-notch electrical program through classroom study and on-the-job training that leads to an Associates’ degree. We are a Registered Apprenticeship with the Department of Labor, and we offer a five-year study for commercial/industrial Inside
