The El Dorado Electrical JATC is a joint venture between the IBEW Local 436 and the Arkansas chapter of NECA. Our history goes back to 1950 when we were registered with the DOL to do the training of electrical apprentices.

Through the years, we have had many changes from teaching students with film reels and handwritten notes, to today where we utilize classroom teaching, computer-based training, and hands-on training. We have been located in the union hall, then an old schoolhouse, and now a new facility.

We are a part of the National Electrical Training Alliance and use their curriculum. As such, we are always on top of the latest standards and advancements in teaching and the electrical industry.
